What a fantastic day! The Big Sing 2011 took place at the Amphitheatre on Bristol Harbourside on Saturday 9th July. 1000 singers from choirs all around the west came together to sing songs and raise money for WaterAid. After a rainy morning rehearsal the sun came out, the Matthew docked, the Art Marquee opened, the choirs - both the MegaChoir and the Sing for Water Youth Choir - sounded amazing, and the crowd went wild. Big thanks and congratulations to everyone who took part in the event. Thanks also to our wonderful guest speaker, Adam Hart-Davis, and to our special guest Helen Chadwick (founder of Sing for Water) who spoke movingly about her involvement with WaterAid and their work.

Here's a brief clip of the DVD - it really is a fabulous souvenir of the day and contains interviews and insights as well as all the wonderful singing. It is in the final stages of production and we'll be sending them out to those of you who have already ordered them towards the end of October.

You can still order one (or more) for a suggested minimum donation of £10 each. Please make your cheque payable to Sing For Water West: send your name, address and donation (and preferably a suitable SAE) to 10 St Margaret's Villas, Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire BA15 1DU.

FANTASTIC FUNDRAISING NEWS! We have reached our target of £50,000 for WaterAid - and money is still coming in. We're thrilled to have achieved this extraordinary goal which is all down to your hard work, sponsorship collecting efforts as well as your moving performance on the day. Well done - together we have made a big difference to some of the world's most disadvantaged people.
